This policy explains how to cancel each of Reclaim Georgia’s services and when refunds apply. We honor every statutory consumer protection Georgia law extends to claimants of unclaimed property — and in some cases we go further than the minimum.
If you sign a CDR-2 authorization engaging Reclaim Georgia to file your unclaimed-property claim on your behalf, you have an unconditional three-business-day right to cancel under O.C.G.A. §44-12-234(c). To cancel within that window:
Cancellation within the three-business-day window is automatic and requires no reason. We collect no contingency fee, you owe nothing, and any signed authorizations are voided. After the window closes, the authorization remains revocable in writing at any time prior to disbursement of funds — but if Reclaim Georgia has already filed with the State and incurred third-party costs (e.g. notary fees), those costs are not refundable.
The Self-File Kit is a digital download delivered immediately after checkout. Because the kit is a digital good and access is granted at the moment of purchase:
If you accept a Cash Offer from Reclaim Georgia and sign the UP-CDR4 claim-assignment form, you have an unconditional three-business-day right to revoke the assignment under O.C.G.A. §44-12-234(c). To revoke within that window, use any of the three channels listed in section 1 above and reference your Cash Offer ID. If we have already wired the cash payment to you, you must return the full amount before the assignment is voided. After the three-day window, the assignment is final and Reclaim Georgia owns the claim.
If you received a letter from us and do not wish to be contacted again, email info@reclaimgeorgia.comwith subject “Do Not Mail” and we will suppress your address from all future outreach within 5 business days. You may also call (470) 613-4627 and leave a voicemail with the same request.
We try to resolve every refund or cancellation request within 5 business days. If you believe a request was wrongly denied, contact the Georgia Department of Revenue Unclaimed Property Section directly at (855) 329-9863, or file a complaint with the Georgia Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. The State’s unclaimed-property database is at gaclaims.unclaimedproperty.com and you may file any unclaimed-property claim there directly, at no cost, at any time.
