Information from Public Records

We obtain unclaimed property data from the Georgia Department of Revenue. This is publicly available information that includes property holder names, property types, approximate values, and last known addresses. Data obtained from the Department of Revenue is used solely for identifying and filing claims on behalf of the rightful owner, as permitted under O.C.G.A. §44-12-225.

Chat Conversations

When you use our chat support feature, your messages are processed by Anthropic’s AI system to provide assistance. Chat transcripts may be retained for quality assurance and to improve our services. Do not share sensitive information such as Social Security Numbers through the chat feature.

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited.

• Georgia Department of Revenue: As part of the claims process, as authorized by your service agreement.
• Service providers: Trusted third parties who assist us in operating our services, including:
  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing if you purchase a paid product from us. Stripe collects payment card information directly; we never see or store your card details.
  • SendGrid, Amazon SES, or Resend — email delivery for notifications, correspondence, and requested document attachments.
  • Anthropic — AI-powered chat support and claim review. Chat messages and claim details (name, email, property information) may be processed by Anthropic’s AI systems. SSN data is never sent to AI services.
  • Lob — direct mail printing and delivery for physical correspondence.
  All service providers are subject to confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

4. Data Security

Sensitive Information (SSN)

When you enter a Social Security Number to prepare your CDR-2, it is transmitted to us over an encrypted connection and placed on the form. Generating the form downloads the PDF and emails a copy to the address on your claim. The PDF includes any Social Security Numbers you entered, and our email provider processes the attachment for delivery. We do not save the typed number as a separate profile field or write it to application logs. Documents you upload, including completed forms containing Social Security Numbers, are retained with your claim records and may be submitted to the Georgia Department of Revenue.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Claim-related records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years after claim completion.

Georgia residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing

If you opt in to receive text messages from us, or correspond with us by text, we collect your mobile phone number, your opt-in status and date, and the content of the message exchange. We use this information solely to communicate with you about your unclaimed-property claim and our services.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. The above excludes only the service providers we use to deliver messages on our behalf (our SMS provider, Twilio), and disclosures required by law.
