Call (470) 613-4627Estate & Heir Recovery
When someone passes away, money owed to them — a life insurance benefit, a forgotten bank account, a final paycheck — often ends up with the State of Georgia as unclaimed property. It belongs to the estate’s heirs. We locate it, file your claim with the State as your registered representative, and help you assemble the documents the State asks for. For estates that need probate, we connect you with a licensed Georgia attorney. You pay nothing unless we recover.

An independent company.
Our plain-English guide explains the two ways to claim — as a named beneficiary or through the estate — and exactly which documents each one needs.
Download the guide (PDF)A flat 10% of what we recover — a third of the 30% maximum Georgia law allows (O.C.G.A. §44-12-224). Same rate as every claim we handle. If we recover nothing, you owe nothing.
For estates of $7,500 or less, Georgia now lets heirs claim without a probate court order. You can file directly with the state for free at gaclaims.unclaimedproperty.com — or we can handle it for you.
How do you find this money?
Georgia’s Department of Revenue holds property reported by banks, insurers, and employers when they can’t locate the owner. After a death, the State often still lists the deceased’s name. We match those records to public death and probate records to identify the rightful heirs.
Do I need to have probate opened?
Not always. Larger estates may need Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration, but smaller estates can often use a small-estate affidavit (O.C.G.A. §53-2-40). We’ll explain the options and point you to the right forms — and for any estate that needs probate, we connect you with a licensed Georgia attorney to handle that part. We don’t prepare legal documents or give legal advice ourselves.
Are you a law firm?
No. Reclaim Georgia LLC is a Georgia-registered Claimant Designated Representative (CDR #202400088), not a law firm, and we don’t provide legal advice or prepare probate documents. Our role is to file your unclaimed-property claim with the State as your registered representative. You can always file directly with the State at no cost.
